Eamon Gilmore

Eamon Gilmore has just completed a 5-year mandate as the EU Special Representative for Human Rights, and an 8-year mandate as the EU Special Envoy for the Peace Process in Colombia. He is a former Deputy Prime Minister (Tanaiste) and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, which included  responsibility as co-guarantor of the Northern Ireland Peace Process. He was Chair-in-Office of the OSCE, Leader of the Irish Labour Party, and a trade union leader, with extensive mediation experience.
