Oliver Wils

Oliver Wils is Head of the MENA Department at the Berghof Foundation and he is also the Co-Director of the Political Dialogue Support Programme in Yemen. Between 2004 and 2011, Oliver was the Executive Director of the Berghof Foundation for Peace Support. Amongst other things, he initiated a number of dialogue and mediation support projects and a negotiation support programme for armed movements and opposition parties. Before joining the Berghof Foundation in 2003, Oliver had worked as a consultant in the field of development cooperation. Oliver is a political scientist, with special focus on the Middle East. He earned his PhD on state-society relations in Jordan from the Free University, Berlin.
